Good Morning Everyone! I am super excited to share with you that I am a featured designer on the Moda Bake Shop blog today!
This is a super fast and easy quilt that I made featuring a ombre junior jelly roll from the Color Theory line by V and Co. The above link will take you right there and you can see the full tutorial and make your own!
Go check it out and let me know what you think! And thanks for all the support and kind words!
Yesterday my quilting buddy Brittney and I went on a super fun road trip and participated in the All Iowa Shop Hop. It was the first time that I had participated in the Hop and it was Brittney’s idea. Thanks a bunch!
With shops all over the state participating we could have gone any direction, but we wanted to go to some stores that we had never been to before. We left Monticello at about 7:30 and headed north. The first stop was One Block Over in West Union, then off to New Hampton where went to Quilter’s Window and Material Magic. We ventured further north and stopped at Quilter’s Garden in Cresco, then it was time to head south again to Decorah to Red Roxy Quilt Co. Our final stop was the Forest Mills Quilt Shop in rural Postville. Since both of us had commitments that evening we were home by about four. Six shops in one day was quite an adventure!
Of course I had to get some of the official Shop Hop fabric, and couldn’t resist the beautiful gray and yellow I found.
A few new notions and a jelly roll that I am planning to use with the Iowa fabric.
A couple new patterns, one for a quilt and one for a little bag.
And last of all a few freebies! Who doesn’t love anything free!
I wish we could have kept going and going but home was calling in the form of children and husbands.
I have plans to make a few more stops at some of the local shops but sadly no more traveling…
We got to see some amazing shops and I will defiantly be doing the hop again next year.
