My New Adventure

As all quilters do, I have built up an impressive stash of quilting fabrics.  I realized mine was getting a little out of control. It had lots of fabric that I realized I would never use and thoughts of my Grandmothers sewing room with stacks of outdated fabric were filling my mind. In October I decided it was time to destash some of my fabric. I knew there were other people out there seeking some of the same fabrics that I knew I was never going to get around to using so I started a small etsy store. I named it Rural Cotton Co. . It has grown quite quickly and I have since added Riley Blake and Moda precuts to my store. I also have a selection of high quality Cuddle (Minky) fabric from Shannon Fabrics.

Talking with a friend yesterday I realized that a lot of my friends and family don’t even know about my little store. So this is the official opening announcement. Please stop by and check it out.  If you see something you can’t live without and you live close enough I won’t even charge you shipping.

On another note, if you are a fan of the Moda Bake Shop blog, stay tuned because I have a surprise for you!!

Have a fab spring day!

Two Precious New Arrivals

On Friday, April 19th my beautiful twin nephews were finally born!! They are the cutest, sweetest little bundles!

Evan Eugene was born first weighing 4 lbs. 11 oz.

Next came Eli Aaron weighing 5lbs. 5 oz.

I had to take a little break from quilting to make them a cuddly baby blanket.  I picked out a bright cow print for my little farmer nephews and accented each one with a bright stripe that I appliqued their name on with a “raggy” font.  They have a minky dot backing and will be super soft for the boys to snuggle with.

I can’t wait for another snuggle day with the boys!
